Switching clothes over for the fall/winter season?

Please consider donating clean coats,hoodies, hats, mittens/gloves, snow pants and boots to the Annual UCFSD Coat Drive.All sizes & styles, infant through adult are needed – please spread the word.

Donated items can be dropped off in the lobbies of any UCF district school starting on October 17th and ending on Thursday, December 15th. A collection box is also located at Landhope (926 &82). Items should be clean and in good condition. New items and monetary donations are also gladly accepted.

Collected items will be distributed in December to over 500 families in need in our area.

Giant A+ School Rewards

Our goal is to reach 500 registered cards. We are currently at 194. Register your card online and help our school while you do your regular shopping. This program does not change your gas points or other Giant reward offers in any way. To enroll, log on to and select CUSTOMER REGISTRATION to register online using your BONUSCARD and our school ID# 23975. If you no longer have your card look for it on your next receipt or ask the Customer Service Department at your local Giant. The Giving Tree Gift collection is to benefit the Kennett Community Services. The Middle School will participate in the project from November 28 - December 15th and the donations will be delivered to The Kennett Community Services December 15th.


The Science Behind Later School Start Times

We have arranged for Dr. Judith Owens to join us to share her expertise on the topic of teens and sleep.  Dr. Owens is a recognized expert in the field.  She currently serves as Director of the Center for Pediatric Sleep Disorders at Boston Children's Hospital and is a member of the faculty of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.

Date: Monday, November 7th

Time: 7:00PM - 8:30PM

Place:  The NEW Patton Middle School Auditorium

Topics Covered:

**The science behind sleep and teenage sleep cycles

**What is being recommended by the AMA, AAP and CDC and why

**Examples of work done and outcomes achieved in other communities

This event will include time for questions and answers.

This is an opportunity for the community to better understand why the District is interested in looking into school start times for the middle school and high school.  Come to the event and get your questions answered.

Internet Safety Presentation

Please join us for a Parent Night at Hillendale Elementary School in the Large Group Instruction Room on December 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County (CVC) will be here to present an internet safety program for parents. Please see flyer for further information.


UHS Boys Basketball Skills and Drills Clinic

There will be a drills and skills clinic at Unionville High School on December 3, 2016 from 2:30 to 6:15 PM in the main gym for any boys in grades 2-8. For registration and further details please click the attached form.

Middle School Parents:  The UHS XC Team is joining with Kennett XC to host a "Friends Not Foes 5K" on November 13 in Anson B Nixon park.  Proceeds from the race go directly back into the Unionville HS XC and Track program for additional coaching and equipment that benefit our running program and your student athletes!  Please consider registering your student or your whole family and spend a fall morning supporting the Unionville High School XC Team.  You can register directly at this site:
