ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES

HERITAGE DAY

Your child has a unique opportunity to participate in Charles F. Patton's 5th Annual Heritage Day! This is a day where the 7th and 8th grade students present their Heritage to our 6th grade class through a series of activities.  We are looking for 7th and 8th grade volunteers to join this opportunity and take pride in their heritage.

The students will teach their peers about different cultures around the world.  Student volunteers will participate in one of three activities:  1. "Fashion and Talent show" (display a piece of fashion or demonstrate through music or dance something culturally significant.) 2. "Exhibits" (Create a poster display that highlights significant aspects of the culture.) 3. "My story" (Talk about their experience migrating to the United States.)

We take pride in our students' differences and we want to celebrate, understand and share all of these differences.  We hope to see our 7th and 8th graders sign up in the counseling office to receive more information. This is a great opportunity for students to take an active leadership role at Patton Middle School!  Parents, feel free to participate as well! Please contact your child's counselor for more information.
