CFPMS STUDENTS INVITED TO UHS SOCCER GAME SEPT 9

Please come out to cheer on the UHS men's Soccer team next Tuesday, 9/9 where they will compete against West Chester Henderson HS at the Unionville high school stadium.
Varsity starts @ 7pm
JV starts @ 5:30 pm
 
All CFPMS students will be admitted free to this game with a Patton ID (if you do not yet have an ID card, just let the ticket booth know that you are a CFP student)

Library Volunteers Needed    Now

Please consider helping in the Patton Library!  Volunteers schedule a 2-hour shift, every other week.  They help the library staff by checking in/out and reshelving books, and other library projects.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Mary Hastings at  marykhastings@verizon.net.

PTO Meeting September 11 @ 9:15am

Please join us for the first Patton PTO Meeting of the year on Thursday, September 11th at 9:15am in the small cafeteria. We will be voting on the budget for the 2014-15 school year, reviewing last year's highlights and the new initiatives for this year.  Mr. Hoffman will be our special guest to address what's new at Patton this year and to answer questions. Preview for October....mark your calendars for Thursday, October 9th's PTO Meeting, when our special guest John Nolan, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, will address the Singapore Math Program (Math in Focus) that all Patton students now are utilizing.

PTO COMMITTEE CHAIR OPENINGS:

 

Please consider volunteering for the PTO. It is a great way to get involved and meet others. We have several Committee Chair openings this year:

 

Community Service: Help with Coat Drive, Empty Bowls, Giving Tree. Volunteers are needed to coordinate these events. but you  do not need to run all 3 events. Please feel free to choose the event(s) you would like to help coordinate.

 

Raffle Baskets for Carnival: Create themed raffle baskets for the Spring Carnival using items collected by each Advisory. This event is held on the first Fri. of May, and is the PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year.

 

Talent Show: Run theTalent Show, which is held in March. Organize 2 Preview days and 1 Rehearsal day. Coordinate with Patton MS Tech Staff for sound, etc.

Curriculum Night (formerly known as Fall Open House) September 11th @ 6:30pm

Reminder: Curriculum Night (formerly known as Fall Open House) will be held on September 11th at 6:30pm. The evening will begin with a presentation by Mr. Hoffman, then you will follow your child's schedule and meet your child's teachers and learn their expectations for the year ahead. There will not be time to address individual concerns with the teachers. Please schedule a meeting directly with your child's teacher if you have individual concerns. Looking forward to seeing you then!

After-School Language Club    DEADLINE: SEPT 30

"Mono-lingualism is the illiteracy of the 21st Century!" says Time Magazine.  Don't be left behind!  Learn about a foreign culture and its language through Patton's own Language Club.  Classes start soon so click here for more information and the registration form

 


Safe Sitter®  beginning September 16

Safe Sitter® classes will be held at Patton Middle School on Tuesdays from 2:30 pm -3:30 pm beginning September 16.  Safe Sitter® is a program that teaches young teens (11-14) everything they need to know to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.  Students will learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who's choking, and helpful information like what to do it there's severe weather.  The lessons are filled will fun activities and role-laying exercises.  The class fee is $180.  To register, visit www.BrandwineEnrichment.com or contact Melissa LePage at Marissa@CPRteaching.org or 215-696-2587 for more information.

UHS FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC - SATURDAY, SEPT 20th

Join the Unionville High School field hockey teams and coaches to build your skills for the season. The clinic is for grades 1-8 and will be held at the Unionville High School Stadium from 9am – 12pm (8:30am check-in). The cost is $25.00 per player.
